Welcome to Simala Retreat, a new contemporary retreat situated on 40 acres of natural, bio-diverse forest, surrounded by premium vineyards in the Margaret River region.

Simala Retreat offers two spacious, luxury chalets, a villa, and a Wellbeing Studio.

All accommodation is one bedroom, with a focus on privacy and style. The retreat is most suitable for couples or small groups. The outlook is postcard vista, with breath-taking views of the forest, adjacent vineyards and dam.

The Simala Wellbeing Studio is now open.  It is available to guests for Wellbeing options such as yoga, meditation and massage. Guests can join a scheduled yoga class, or create their own retreat with private yoga classes and or massage. Wellbeing activities are optional.

The local town of Cowaramup is 4 km away and is known for its village feel, gift shops, local specialities and cow monuments. Simala Retreat is close to Caves Road, situated between Dunsborough (30 km) and Margaret River (14 km) and captures all the wonder in between.

Relax in your own sanctuary at Simala Retreat or use it as a base to experience the spectacular South West region. Swimming, beach walks and sunsets at Cowaramup Bay, 4WD, off-road bike trails galore, including the renowned Rails-to-Trails from Cowaramup to Margaret River (13.5 km), world class surf breaks, forest, caves, and bushland. The Cape-to-Cape walking track is 6 km to the West with easy access by bike or 4WD.

OUR STORY

Simala represents the combined vision of Simone and Alan, merging wellbeing and environment. Simone is a qualified Yoga teacher and Aromatherapist, and recognises the importance of wellbeing and its relationship with nature. Alan has a strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability, permaculture and nature. Their backgrounds in social services, management, and IT blend to support the activities at Simala.

Simala is situated on property previously part of the forest and undeveloped land in Settlers Ridge Organic Winery. The property is on Brockman Rd, between Caves Rd and Cowaramup (Cow Town), surrounded by vineyards including Howard Park, Settlers Ridge and Cape Grace Winery. The future for Simala is driven by the goal to improve the land and create a high bio-diversity, natural bush area in the region, while establishing an environment that allows others to experience this beautiful land. FACILITIES

Offering two spacious contemporary chalets and one villa; all self-contained with high end furniture and fittings. The accommodation has open space living area, leather lounge, wood fire place and a large kitchen with modern appliances including an eco-friendly dish washer, a combined microwave/convection oven with top grill and a 250 litre fridge. Free Wi-Fi, wall TV, and blue tooth music system are included. The stunning bathrooms have floor to ceiling tiles, a large shower, stone top vanity and stand-alone bath with forest views from the chalet bathrooms.

The accommodation has verandas accessible from lounge and bedroom where you can sit and take in the view, while listening to the sounds of the forest and enjoying your favourite beverage. Barbeque facilities are available.
